Instructions for how to configure the Silicon Kaleidoscope to use 'Spring Explosion':

(I am assuming the you have already installed the Silicon Mirror and Kaleidoscope on your computer.)

1) After the full sized 'Spring Explosion' image has been loaded into your web browser, click on it with your right mouse button. This should bring up a popup menu that allows you to copy the image to a file on your local disk drive. For purposes of illustration, I will assume that you have saved the image to the file c:\Spring_Explosion.jpg .

2) Bring up the Windows Display Properties dialog. My favorite way to bring up this dialog is to click on the Windows desktop with the right mouse button to bring up a popup menu, and then click on the Properties menu item.

3)Click on the Screen Saver tab.

4)Click on the Screen Saver list button to bring up the list of available screen savers. Find Silicon Kaleidoscope in the list and click on it.

5)Press Settings to configure the Silicon Kaleidoscope.

6) Press the Browse button to change the Source Image File to c:\Spring_Explosion.jpg . (The default value for this is generally jumble.bmp)

7) After exiting the Settings dialog, you can press Preview to try it out.

8)When you exit the Display Properties dialog, make sure that you press the OK button. If you do this, then the Silicon Kaleidoscope will be launched after your system has been idle for the Wait period that was specified in the Display Properties dialog.
